BLOCK WATCH DOGS ON DUTY

We have the best watch dogs on the block!

I caught these photos today as the dogs were sitting on the hope chest that Mistaya has always been sure we put there for her to use as a window seat.

So that is just how we all use it.

In the photo below the 2 dogs are checking to make sure everything is okay down the street.

Then they both check to make sure everything is A Okay across the street.

 Then of course, they have to check up the street too, to make sure all is well in that direction too.

This behavior really doesn't surprise us much because Mistaya seems to know when the old, slow gray cat is walking by her front door on the sidewalk and always runs to the window seat and in her familiar dog talk, let's that old gray cat know that Mistaya does not appreciate him walking the sidewalk that belongs to Maggie and Mistaya.

Very serious business indeed but I am sad to report that Old Gray Cat always acts like there is not another animal on this street for blocks and blocks.  He never changes pace or varies off his daily course as he continues on his way to where ever he goes each day.

After the BLOCK WATCH DOGS have finished their shifts there is always a need for a great nap.

After all, being a BLOCK WATCH DOG is very serious business and it can certainly wear a dog out fast!

SOME DAYS ARE SOOO BUSY

Well, my day started out pretty good today.

Dogsister Mistaya and I spent a lot of fun time out in the back yard chasing each other around trying to see who is the toughest.

I think it was a tie.

Then later in the day we carried our tussle into the house and had so much fun playing on M.O.M.'s favorite rug.

We ran around, rolled each other all over the place, snarled like we were angry at each other.

But in the end we decided that we were really great sisters and no one was meaner than the other....cause during our wrestling match we did both cry out at least once each.

So it is still a tie.  A good way to end it.

Then Catsister walked into the room just as I was about to take a nap.

Well, I couldn't just let her waltz through like she owned the place!

So I ran right up to her to ask her just where she thought she was going.

Well, she didn't speak with any words...she didn't have to...her claws spoke real loud!!!

So I decided that it was definitely time for me to look for a place to get in my nap.

It didn't take me long to find the perfect safe, peaceful place to get in my nap after this very strenuous day.

Ah, sweet dreams.

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH

Me and CatSister are on our scheduled team time for Neighborhood Watch and as you can see we are both taking our jobs very seriously!

No one gets by us unobserved on this street.

Strangely there a few people who cross the street to walk on the other side of the street when they see me in the front yard.  I did hear M.O.M. talking to M.O.D. about it and she said one of the gentlemen told her that he is more afraid of a silent, watchful dog than a barking dog who is voices his alarm.

Geez, a sweet dog can't win sometimes!!  I just want a biscuit for heaven's sake!

Mistaya has been doing well with her refresher training course.  I try to get her out into the neighbor several times a day and of course she enjoys every moment of it.

We drove by the Humane Society today but as our luck would have it...they were closed. So we will try again maybe tomorrow.

A WONDERFUL DAY WITH FAMILY

We all ate way to much...

But it was so very good

during another wonderful

Thanksgiving day!

But we really did eat to much!!!

I decided to make today "THEME DAY" because it is to cold to venture outside to find things to post on Mistaya's blog.

Is it about getting that wonderful massage at last?

Is it about always wanting to be first?

Is it about being the tallest?

Maybe it is about who can take the best nap.

Is it about who can see the UPS man first because he always brings biscuits?

It isn't about who is the toughest!

It's about BEING FRIENDS!!!!

And because it is Thanksgiving week we thought it was the appropriate time to give thanks for all of our wonderful Blogger Friends that have been with us since we started this fun website with Mistaya.

We have enjoyed all your comments and even just your visits to our site.

And we look forward to the coming year and sharing all our new adventures here in our new home by the sea.

CATSISTER SLEEPS

M.O.M.  has discovered where Catsister has been taking her naps...on the hood of the car!

See, even Catsister knows is doesn't rain here at the the ocean ALL the time!!

And she also knows where to find some warmth when she needs it.

IT'S A CAT'S LIFE!!

I know this is a rather long post but it is so very cute and I think you will enjoy this one......
It all started this morning when I made breakfast for the cranky youngsters....


And fed the baby a bottle.....

I loaded up the kids in the car seat and took them to daycare camp and school....

I was late for work and traffic was a nightmare ....

I got to the office (I'm a Tech Analyst)....

My supervisor chewed me out.....

For misplacing the mouse....

I went out for lunch and got caught in the rain.....

I left work early to pick up my new glasses (wrong size)....

Drove the boys to karate lessons ...

And the girls to tap and ballet .........

When we got back home, all they wanted to do was watch TV..

instead of doing their homework....


After much chaos, they took their baths, got ready for bed and brushed their teeth....

I read them their nightly bedtime story....

And they finally went to sleep.

I tried doing some aerobics in the living room...

Uh oh, I don't think all the 'fast-food' and exercise is agreeing with me...

Now, I think I'm getting a migraine...

And a runny nose....

I'm pretty certain it's the flu.

After a long and grueling day, I crawled into bed and was just drifting off when....

I realized I had forgotten something.....

Dear Lord, despite the topsy-turvy day I've had, I give thanks to you

For all the blessings you've bestowed upon me and my family.

Next week, I'm off to the spa and pool for some much-needed rest and relaxation with my girlfriend......

That's how MY life is going....
