STRANGE PICTURES FROM MY PUPPY WALK

M.O.M. took some very strange photo's on our walk today. The first photo shows 4 sets of tracks in this one spot. Can you guess them all??
Okay, let us try to help you...starting from the left, in the center of the pic are some very tiny tracks...we think those are from the squirrels that chirp loudly at me as we go by...the second set...in the center top...those are mine! and the ones to the very right are M.O.M.'s. But I bet you can't guess the fourth set...the one that is to the right of mine and the left of M.O.M.'s.....no it's not my tail...and no it isn't a walking stick M.O.M. sometimes carries...try figuring it out from the next picture.......
These are my little footprints but what is that strange mark in the middle? Well okay, it is just like the one in the top photo...it is actually my little tongue dragging along the ground trying to lap up as much liquid as I can. Yes, M.O.M. always brings a bottle of water for me but I really don't like to have to stop and stand still long enough to get a drink. So as I am running I just put my head sown and try to scoop up as much snow as I can and still keep running like crazy. Yeah, M.O.M. thinks I should stop once in a while and drink from the bottle too but I don't want to!!!
So as you can see we are still going on wonderful walks even though everyone seems to still be to tired from eating all the Turkey this holiday. But M.O.M. seemed very happy to go on a walk with me today. Thank you M.O.M., I always have so much fun!

ANOTHER FUN FILLED DOG WALK TODAY

M.O.D. didn't have to work today so he joined us on our daily dog walk. As you can see by the photo's that M.O.M. took while we were on our walk, I tried very hard to impress M.O.D. with all my funny tricks while I walked along the road stalking the little field mice in the roadside ditch.!
I tried so very hard to jump higher than I ever had....
and I tried to jump more often than I have before...

And M.O.D. was definitely impressed by my athletic ability! And I sure had fun on this walk as we walk on down through the forest and I took that opportunity to remind M.O.D. have fast I like to run through the trees...and to jump as many fallen trees as I can while I am running.
What a fun Thanksgiving Day the three of us had.

OH MY GOSH!

Don't let M.O.M. see this cause I sure don't want one of these!!
I don't think this little dogie is asleep...I think he fainted from the horror of it all! Oh my gosh!

A GREAT DAY FOR A PUPPY WALK

M.O.M. and I ventured out into the woods today for a walk in the sunshine. There was a bit of a breeze but M.O.M. let me off my leash so I could run all over the place. And that made me feel nice and warm.
Oh, that little black spot in the road is me. I really didn't get to far away from her as I know part of my job is to protect her so I always kept an eye out for her. I return to her often just to check on her and to show her I am okay too. We make a very good team.

WISE THOUGHTS FOR EVERYONE

If a dog was the teacher you would learn things like:

When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.

Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.

Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure Ecstasy.

Take naps.

Stretch before rising.

Run, romp, and play daily.

Thrive on attention and let people touch you.

Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.

On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.

On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.

When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.

Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.

Be loyal.

Never pretend to be something you're not.

If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.

When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them gently.

A SPECIAL POST FOR A NEW CAT FRIEND

I met a new friend at http://downhomeinnc.blogspot.com and she is a cat friend named MADI. She had posted that she was sure her mom had left a cardboard box on the floor just for her to play in. And I told her that my Catsister often does the same thing. Of course when I saw this photo of Catsister in this big shipping box I was sure M.O.M. was shipping her away. Of course M.O.M. didn't do that and we found out that silly Catsister just like to snuggle down in this packing material and take long quiet naps. Oh well.

But the following photo is my favorite!!
M.O.M. and M.O.D. had just finished up with a very large yard sale and M.O.M. walked in the room and found Catsister sitting in the free items box.
Of course I got real excited when I saw this photo and wondered why someone from the yard sale didn't taken this last free item!
Yeah I know, I really do like my Catsister but puppies just can't help themselves sometimes when they are around cat creatures.

THIS AWESOME VIEW POINT MAY DISAPPEAR SOON

As I was perched atop my favorite viewing spot I did wonder how much longer I will be able to do this. There has been a few snow storms this week but so far the snow has gone away by my afternoon walks. I like being up high where I can see everything. Of course it also helps this little dog to be able to spot those treacherous chipmunks much easier!

THE PICTURES YOU NEVER SEE!

Today M.O.M. decided that it was time to show my fans that I am not always photogenic for her.

Sometimes I am just bored...
Sometimes it looks like I am sticking out my tongue to tease her..(but she really caught me mid lick!)....
But mostly I just want to get this done so I can have a delicious biscuit.
But as you know M.O.M. is usually very patient with me and does end up with some very clever pictures. So I guess I really don't mind having that camera thing pointed at me at the oddest times!

OUR ADVENTURE THIS WEEK

M.O.M. and I headed out for another fun walking adventure. But this time she put my backpack on me and put 2 bottles of drinking water in the pouches.
At first I thought I wouldn't be able to walk at all and then as we were walking down the road I realized she had balanced the pack very well and it really wasn't that heavy.
So off I went and I had such a good time. There was a lot of sunshine and so many places to explore. And when we arrived in the forest M.O.M. took off my backpack so I could run like the wind without risking getting myself caught on a downed tree limb or stick.
When we headed back home I noticed that M.O.M. had my backpack hung over her shoulder and she never did make me wear it all the way back home. Ahhh, life is so good!

IT'S WARM ENOUGH FOR A GREAT GROUP WALK!

M.O.M. and I joined her walking group today for a walk in the beautiful sunshine. The air was still crisp but the sun sure felt good.

It was an okay walk but because we walked on a road near town M.O.M. had to keep me on my leash. And neither she nor I enjoy me wearing my leash while we are out on beautiful walks.
So we have planned an extra long walk together tomorrow morning so I can run and play in the forest just down the road. Oh boy! I can hardly wait!

TODAY IS MY 1ST ANNIVERSARY!!!!!

NOVEMBER 8, 2008
It was exactly one year ago today that M.O.M. and M.O.D. saw me at the Hamilton, Montana Humane Society and I chose to spend the rest of my life with them. And that year has been filled with love, fun, adventures, loads of toys, a lot of warm blankets, and more hugs than I could ever have imagined.
It is very easy to say that I certainly may be the happiest rescued puppy in the world...well, at least in Montana!

THIS PUPPY MISSES THE OCEAN ALREADY

I had so much fun running in the sand and where M.O.M.and M.O.D. called the 'surf' that I already wish we were back there. I have never felt so free and I was amazed how fast I could run.
Of course I did spend some time helping M.O.M. find some real pretty bird feathers. So when I was time to go both of us really didn't want to leave! But I am sure we will be back here real soon.

I FOUND THE OCEAN-THAT'S A GIANT POND!

WOW!! I have never seen such a giant pond of water in my life! I think I like this new place.
M.O.D. took me out near the edge if of this big pond and let me get in the water. It was fun but the water sure tasted strange.
M.O.M and M.O.D. threw my ball for me several times and I couldn't believe how good it felt to run so fast on this stuff they call sand.
Then I found a whole bunch of big white birds that didn't seem very afraid of me so I took off after them. They did make a lot of noise and of course flew up just enough so I couldn't get to them and kind of just ignored me. But it was fun pretending anyway that I was the Great Hunter.
This is a photo of me and M.O.M. when she made me sit down and rest after running so hard trying to chase that fun ball. It is held on a long stick so when she throws it it can sail really far very easily. You can see she is holding the stick with the ball stuck to it behind her back cause I always try to grab it if I can see it. The stick helps make it so much fun to run real fast after the ball.
But as you can guess, the moment we returned to the motel room I fell asleep almost instantly. This feels so good.
I sure hope M.O.D. and M.O.M. can find us a new home here cause I really like this thing they call the 'ocean'.

I THINK THERE ARE PLANS FOR A ROAD TRIP

I think I overheard M.O.M. and M.O.D. making plans to take another road trip. And I am pretty sure I get to go too!!!! Wahoo! It may be a few days before I can post again but I will be sure to get a lot of pictures. Well, M.O.M. will get me plenty of pictures! I keep hearing the word "ocean" and I am not sure what that means but they both seem happy about it. So I am excited to find our what that is. I just hope "ocean" means fun for puppies!
