PUPPIES CAN SLEEP ANYWHERE

I found a great place to rest my head while M.O.M. is using her computer in the dining room. I do enjoy being near her while we are in the house. Another favorite place M.O.M. finds me is when she is finished with her shower she has to be careful when she opens the door of her bathroom or she may fall over me. Well gosh, someone has to stand guard while she's busy! And I always do a real good job.

THIS POUND PUPPY MAY BE GROWNING UP

I do believe that M.O.M. and M.O.D. think I am grown up!! Today M.O.M. bought me a brand new bed. I noticed a few days ago that my little dog kennel was staying out on the back deck but I really didn't give it much thought. In it's place was one of my blankets that I usually lay on when I am on the big bed. So I had still had a warm soft place to take my naps during the day.
So I was real surprised when M.O.M. walked in the door and put this nice new soft bed where my kennel used to be.It feels so good and soft when I crawl into it. The cover comes off so it can be cleaned often to keep it smelling good for me. And one of my favorite things about it is that I can see out of the front window without even getting out of bed.So I suppose this must mean I may not be a little puppy any longer. I will be 8 months old in a few weeks but I am going to hope that it doesn't mean that I have to act grown up all the time!

PUPPIES CAN BE SO MISCHIEVIOUS AND SNEAKY!

I was having a grand time laying on my blanket in the living room and chewing my ball to pieces. And then M.O.D. happen to see that I was very busy doing something strange.
When he called my name and I looked up he understood what had kept my attention for so long. I had chewed my wonderful ball into two equal pieces and I had already chewed one half into tiny bits.
Of course M.O.D. and M.O.M. both started laughing when I picked up the surviving half in an attempt to hide it in my mouth.
In my attempt to hide the ball it apparently made me look like I was smiling and trying to pretend that they were just my new teeth!
Of course M.O.M. captured my misdeed with her camera again. Gosh, it sure is hard to get away with much around here!

I AM A PUPPY WHO CAN FALL ASLEEP ANYWHERE

M.O.M. and I spent some fun time outside today on a great long walk. I had so much fun running like the wind and jumping into the middle of big piles of snow beside the road. I am still very good at burying my face as far down into the snow as I possibly can. I have heard M.O.M. and M.O.D. saying something about what it will be like for me when there is no longer any snow to play in. What in the world do they mean "no more snow"? I thought this fun cold white stuff would be here forever just for me to play in. I do wonder what life will be like when there is "no more snow".

When we returned from our walk M.O.M. threw the ball for me and each time I ran as fast as I could to retrieve it and then I raced back so M.O.M. could throw it for me again. When she uses that stick thing to throw the ball it seems to stay in the air forever and I love how fast I can get to running to try to get it.

After a fun filled day like today I can fall asleep just about anywhere. M.O.D. was taking his nap too and left his favorite slippers on the floor in front of his recliner. They sure made a wonderful pillow for my tired little head!

A PUPPIES GIFT OF LOVE

It was M.O.D.'s birthday and M.O.M. picked me up a gift to give him. I was real good about taking my gift to M.O.D. but I thought that maybe I should keep it for myself!
Oh, I just couldn't help it--I just had to have this cute little present for myself so I thought I would sneak away with it and hide it in my house kennel.
But M.O.D. got a hold of me and the gift before I could make a run for it. DARN!!!!!
Okay M.O.D., here's your Birthday present from me. I know you will like it cause I can smell candy anywhere!

PUPPY LEARNING NEVER ENDS!

M.O.M. is teaching me to run beside her while she is riding her bicycle. It is pretty easy and sometimes she let's me run real fast for a bit. M.O.M. has said that sometimes I have a lot of extra energy so this mode of travel should help me get in enough exercise to make me a little laid back. Of course, I think this is a very fun way to be with M.O.M. and we have both had a few too many treats this winter so this may help that problem too! The weather man has said that we will probably receive more snow during the next few days so this may be a exercise program that we will have to put on hold for awhile. And we did get a bit of fresh snow early this morning. Oh well, I guess that means I will get to spend more time chasing after my new ball out in the front yard. Yahoo!!!

PUPPY SHADOW

We had a day full of sunshine so M.O.M. and I went for a wonderful long walk. This photo was taken as we returned home.

The weather man is saying we are going to get more snow so hopefully we can get out as often as possible to take our walks before the weather changes.

THINGS A PUPPY IS GRATEFUL FOR

Today I have been thinking about my life during the last few months. As I thought back through my days, I have realized that I have so many things to be thankful for now that I am living with my wonderful family. Below are just of few of the things I have thought that were pretty awesome in my life. I am sure there are a lot more but these are just a few that make me feel very good..........
I realized that I never have to worry where my next meal is coming from ...it's just always there. And if I don't seem to like it my family buys me a different kind. Yum!
If I accidentally get myself into a tight spot my family is right there to help me out. And instead of scolding me they just give me hugs and kind words. It seems they understand how silly little puppies can be.
And I am allowed to fall asleep just about anywhere I choose. So I have fallen asleep on the couch beside my M.O.M. or M.O.D. while they are watching TV, and on my soft blanket that is in front of my house kennel where I like to lay and chew on my chew sticks. Of course there is also a blanket inside the kennel but I rarely use it anymore.
And I am allowed to sleep on the bed, by the slider door that goes out to the deck and by the front door where is seems to be a little cooler so I can rest better after chasing all the balls outside.
And I have found a wonderful spot in the office just under neath the computer desk. Of course if M.O.M. or M.O.D. are in the office I have to be in there too!
I have grown too much to fall asleep like this little fellow did but I do feel safe enough to sleep anywhere because my family is always looking out for me.
My cat sister has even decided that I am not such a bad puppy to be around so we are starting to get along very well. And I can tell that is makes my family very happy, And of course there is the fact that I don't have to share any of my toys or chew toys with anyone. That's awesome for me!!
And my family takes real good care of me, especially when we are out and about with other dogs and they always make sure there are no strange dogs that want to chase me or bark at me. And one of the best things for me is that there are no little children that want to pull me around, try to ride me like I am a horse or even chew on me. Thank you family!!

THESE ARE SOME OF MY NEW PUPPY TREASURES

I found myself a bag of these long chew sticks at Petsmart and also a giant bag of these yummy treats. I have one of the chew sticks out in my kennel so I can enjoy one while I am soaking up some sunshine and getting some fresh air.
I also get to have a large chew stick in the house and I lay on my blanket by my little inside kennel and chew on it a lot.
And I get one of these scrumptious little treats every time I come back in our house. Yes, that's why I usually hurry to get there! And it's the reason why there are big "X's" of tape on the slider door. I do get in a hurry to get back inside with my family and I keep forgetting to make sure the door is really open before I run through it!

My family surprised me with this strange thing when we returned home from our adventure to the big city this week. Of course I had no idea what this thing was for or what it did.
Hmmm, why is that pretty new ball stuck in that strange looking stick? I need to see what this thing is all about.
I found out real fast why that ball was in the end of that blue stick! The stick allowed M.O.M. and M.O.D. to be able to easily throw the blue and orange ball REAL far for me to chase. Wow!!! What a cool thing. Oh, that's me, the little black thing in the middle of the driveway, as I am running as fast as I can back to M.O.M. with the ball so she can launch it for me again.
I have heard them both use the word "exercise" but since I don't knkow what that means I am just enjoying chasing the ball as many times as they will throw it for me.

MY PUPPY ADVENTURE TO THE BIG CITY

THE FAMILY WENT TO THE BIG CITY TO RESTOCK THE FREEZER AND SOME OTHER ITEMS. OF COURSE, MY MAIN CONCERN WAS MY TRIP INTO PETSMART! AND I HAD SUCH A GOOD TIME.
I WANDERED UP AND DOWN THE AISLES LOOKING FOR JUST THE RIGHT TREASURE FOR ME.

HMMM, MAYBE ONE OF THESE FUNNY BLUE LOOKING THINGS....OR
MAYBE A BRIGHT GREEN AND ORANGE BALL. OH, IT'S SO HARD TO CHOOSE!
WELL. I FINALLY DECIDED ON THIS YUMMY CHEW STICK. SO WE HEADED UP TO THE FRONT OF THE STORE TO FIND A SALES CLERK. COME ON M.O.D., LET'S HURRY! I CAN TASTE MY NEW CHEW STICK ALREADY!!!
WE HAD TO WAIT IN LINE AS OTHER CUSTOMERS PAID FOR THEIR TREASURES. AND WHILE WAITING IN LINE I MET A VERY NICE LADY NAMED STEPHANIE WHO HAD AN ARM LOAD OF TREASURES FOR HER LUCKY DOG TOO.
FINALLY! WE MADE OUR PURCHASES AND THE VERY NICE CLERK GAVE ME A SPECIAL THANK YOU TREAT. I SURE LIKE THIS PLACE. AND I WAS PLEASED TO SEE THAT M.O.M. AND M.O.D. HAD BOUGHT ME SOME ADDITIONAL TREATS SO I AM DEFINITELY READY TO HEAD HOME. LET'S GO!!

I WOULDN'T MIND IF WINTER LASTS FOREVER!

I still think that the snow is meant to run, roll and jump in and I just can't seem to get enough of it. And I do hope that we get another snow storm soon as the level of the snow is getting a bit to low and it is making it difficult for me to jump in and bury my cute little face way down in it.
M.O.M. does think I am cute but won't let me in the door of the house until she has wiped all this wonderful snow off my face. Gosh, I work hard to get all that wonderful cold snow all over my little body.

This is a great photo showing how hard I actually dive in order to get my face as far into the snow as possible. I do try to leap as high as I can and then come straight down as I push my nose as far down as I can. I think this is the greatest fun a puppy can find in the heart of winter.
