Hi We are back!!!

We have been away for awhile spending time with the pups.
We have spent some time at the beach...
We have spent some time camping by the beach with the pups....
Taking a lot of walks in the park with the pups...

more playing at the beach..
and  a lot of time laying around napping and cuddling with the pups.
Maggie has not yet found her forever home and as you can see, Mistaya is always looking out the window to see if her new family is coming back down the road. She truly loves them already.

We and the pups drove to Mistaya's future house in the forest to visit her new mom.  Mistaya and Maggie ran like the wind through the trees, thru the meadows and down to the river.  I believe Mistaya thought she was back in her home in Montana with all the forest around her again.

It is such a beautiful place with room to run, a 14 year old girl to love on and she has acres and acres of forest to call her own.
Mistaya will probably be going to her new home in the next month or two. The young girl has asked if Mistaya can come for a sleep over some time soon and I said yes!
I hope to be able to spend some alone time with Maggie after Mistaya is gone. Maggie has never been on her own and I would like to help her make that transition easier for her before she moves on.
Please let me know if any of you have any ideas of someone who would love to share their life with a loving, joyful pup in need of her forever home.  I have a full history workup on Maggie and would gladly email it to anyone who may be interested.

What a fun day we had.
On Mothers day M.O.M. and M.O.D. took us over to the harbor to see some really pretty ships.
This first ship is named the 'Hawaiian Chieftain'.

Then there is M.O.M.'s favorite...
This is the 'Lady Washington' and she is one of the Tall Ships seen in the great "Pirates Of The Caribbean" movie series.
She is a beautiful ship...especially up close with all the vintage details on her.
But actually, M.O.M. thinks it's pretty cool because Johnny Depp stars in all those movies.  Oops...I mean 'Captain Jack'....sorry M.O.M.!!

These beautiful Tall Ships call our harbor their home port. And every time they return to port there are several cannons that shoot off a salutes to the 2 ships....a very loud display indeed!

The ships attend many events along the coast and also in Pudget Sound near Seattle, through out the boating season.
And when they are moored in our harbor they give river tours to our visitors.
If you look closely you can see several guest passengers on the ships enjoying a beautiful ride up the river and back to the docks.

It seems we find new adventures weekly here in our new little town.  We thought the sea was the best but this little town is full of surprises!

WE ARE SAD THAT HALLOWEEN IS GONE

M.O.M. was a bit nervous about the fact that she didn't see any little kids out on our street doing the Trick or Treat thing about 6:00 last night.  She was excited about doing the Halloween thing for the first time living in a city.  She didn't know if anyone would show up.

Well, she shouldn't have worried....about 6:15 the doorbell started ringing and didn't stop till about 8:30.

It had been raining most of the day and suddenly the rain stopped and didn't rain again until about 10 O'clock that evening.

There were so many cute costumed little kids that we all had so much fun.  There was a parent with each group of Trick or Treaters that came to my door.  M.O.M. said some of the little kids seemed a bit afraid of me when I came running to the door to greet them.  So she had me jump up on the window bench and watch them from our front window.  Many of them did see me in my Bunny costume and waved and smiled at me.  That was fun!

So our first Halloween in our new home by the sea was wonderful and we are already making plans for a bigger and better Halloween next year.  I heard M.O.D. talking about some kind of skeleton things and spooky things out front yard on Halloween next year.  This sounds like it could be a lot of fun again!!!

The little yellow rose is growing in M.O.M.'s garden and there are still lot's of pretty blooms on it.  She loves taking pictures of all her pretty flowers and loves the idea that all the blooms last so much longer here.

We hope all of you had a wonderful Halloween and got lot's of treats in your trick or treat bags!!

NO FOREST BUT PLENTY OF TREES

I just want you all to know that I have found where I can still run and jump over fallen trees.  Well, I guess they have really floated ashore and I have no idea where they really came from but they are everywhere on some of my favorite beaches. And I can tell you they are sure fun to jump over and to run on!
There are some trees that are so big around that I can not jump over them or to run along them.  M.O.M. said she will get some pictures of these giants to show you just how big they really are!
Of course, I feel like I am in the best place in the world as we get to the beach at least a couple of times during each week..Gosh, I really like my new home!

MY LATEST ADVENTURE TO THE SEA

M.O.M. and M.O.D. have been taking me to the sea as often as possible.  I kind of thought it was because they knew how much I enjoyed running on the beach but I am beginning to suspect that we go often because they too, love it so much!
I just hope we keep going a lot!

As you can see, I like to run a lot on the awesome sand.

M.O.M. snapped this picture while I was playing in the surf.  We really don't know what caused the pretty light that shows around me.

We have been on a few very fun adventures and I will try to post about them soon.  It is so good to be back to blogging again.  We have missed you all!!!

MORE PUP ADVENTURES

One day at our new home by the sea, I could hear M.O.M. calling me throughout the house.  But I was very tired and didn't respond to her real fast.
Finally she walked into the living room and smiled when she spotted me in the closet.  That was just the day before we headed back on the road to return to our home in the mountains.  She told M.O.D. that she was certain that I was just worn out from all the driving, new smells, new dogs and new people, running on the beach and not sleeping in my own bed.  Well, she did bring my bed with us but it just isn't the same in a different house.

The next day we headed back on the road to the home in the mountains and we decided somewhere along the way that we were just to tired to go any further. We stopped at a cute little Motel that we have stayed in several times in all our adventures to find a new home.
The Motel parking lot looked like they had no vacancy but M.O.D. went to the office anyway.  We were very fortunate that they had just one room available...one with 2 queen beds. We took the room  anyway and quickly made ourselves comfortable in the in front of the television to catch up on the world.
M.O.M. and M.O.D.  both started laughing when M.O.M. saw me curled up on the 2nd bed making myself at home! Gosh, it felt so good to stretch out and have the bed all to myself.
Ahhh, now that's a dogs life!

We have been lucky with finding Motels that I can stay in. This one welcomes pets and doesnt' charge extra.  One in Cle Elum Washington wanted $25 to let me stay in the room..dad said no..that was too much and the desk clerk finally agreed to $12.  What a waste of money!

One of M.O.D.'s friends told us recently that a motel in Northern California charged the $125 for a one night stay for their dog.
M.O.M. has said that she and M.O.D. will never leave me alone in the car at night in a strange town...or anywhere else.
Oh I love my M.O.D. and M.O.M.

p.s...M.O.M. actually did make me get down off the bed....she said we needed to respect the Motel owners so they would always let pets stay here with their owners.
