MY ROAD IS SO ICY.

We had a little bit of fresh snow this morning when I headed out the door to do my morning thing. And the road is very slick so M.O.M. and I didn't get out for a walk today.
But I got to do something I have never done before. M.O.M. and I drove into town this afternoon and when we drove home she drove down our street from the south instead of coming from the north. You see, our little dirt road is just a loop that leaves the highway north of us and goes about 2 miles then meets back up with the highway. And I was real surprised when M.O.M. pulled the truck over and opened the door and got out.
About that moment I realized we were on our road where, when we are walking, M.O.M.always makes me sit and wait while she walks on down to the highway and then comes back to me. And always, as she approaches me she checks for any cars coming down our road then signals me that I can run again. And I always race across the road to her and race out into the forest and run through the trees until I arrive at the first driveway on our street. There I meet back up with M.O.M.
So I was real excited when M.O.M. let me out of the truck and signaled me to run into the forest.
As I ran across the road I could here her encouraging me to "Run Mistaya, Run!!" so I found my route I always run real fast on. It felt so good to be out running again!
And it was amazing that when I arrived at that driveway M.O.M. was there waiting for me. She then again encouraged me to run and I headed out into the pasture I always run in on our walks too. And when I came out of the pasture at the edge of the forest, there she was, waiting for me as I came back to the road. It was wonderful to see her get out of the truck and kneel down with her arms opened wide for me to run to. All dogs know that a person with their arms outstretched means "Come to me..I love you!" So I always run super fast to her.
So that was my surprise "walk" today. Even though M.O.M. didn't get to actually walk with me, I still enjoyed my run cause I could always see her in the truck. And I must admit that when I ran across the road to her my little rear end didn't seem to be following me very good. Goodness, it was still very slick under this little bit of snow.
Thanks M.O.M. for a very fun run!

  5. You have a really good M.O.M. Mistaya, my mommy and I could see you running in our heads. I haven't been running much, been holding off too much outside activity until I saw grass again. Snow is OK but it's not good to find a place to.....you know.
