Today was a terrible day for walking weather. When my family awoke this morning it was raining real hard. Our snow had turned to ice and with the rain on top of the road made is a real ice rink. Even the local school bus got stuck by our driveway this morning.... The road was so slick that he couldn't get any traction to pull down the street. And the garbage truck could not stay on the road so we will get to keep our trash till at least Friday!The street was so slick that M.O.M. and I could not go for our walk today. In the picture above I know it looks like the road is just wet but it is all ice with some rain on top of it.
It was not until very late this afternoon that we were able to go for a walk. M.O.M. had to stay on the very edge of the road so she wouldn't fall down on the ice. And of course I was very grateful that she still wanted to take me out for my walk. Thank you M.O.M.

ReplyDeleteHi Mistaya...that road looks very very slick and icy to us. We have a lot of ice here in NC (not much snow). We are glad you had 4 feet to walk with...you and mom be very careful outside. I know you will not miss this ice when you move to the ocean...you'll have great stretches of sand to explore.

That's the way our streets and roads looked last week when the freezing rain came and covered the snow. No fun at all. I stayed home too Mistaya. Fortunately it didn't last long.
