M.O.M.'s ROSES

Some of M.O.M.'s roses have started to bloom for her. She has transplanted these two roses about a month ago and apparently they are very happy in their new homes.
These are some of the roses that the neighbor has told her that they were planted about 50 years ago.

And they are beautiful!

This little jewel is about the size of a dime...full of color and full of that wonderful old fashion rose aroma.

This pretty yellow rose is almost the size of a quarter coin.  And she too, is full of rose buds that will be in full bloom soon.

Both of these little rose plants were found in the side yard trying desperately to grow.  One was among the Calla Lily and the second was found among some weeds.
Both had one long spindly stem with a few leaves. Now they are over a foot tall and covered with beautiful foliage and lot's of new buds.
The there is this amazing red jewel..it too has lived here a very long time. I did manage to find part of a metal tag on her that said "Heritage" and Jackson Perkins but the name was unreadable.
This photo was taken before this bud had fully opened.
What an amazing rose she is...and the fragrance is like no other.
M.O.M. is loving spending time out in her garden and is planting things all the time. She planted lot's of Lupins seeds and African Daisies seeds and is now ready to transplant them out into the garden beds to bring lot's of beautiful color to the flower beds all Summer long.

Our back yard is beginning to look like a real English Garden.  That is nice because M.O.D. is from England and M.O.M. wants him to feel like he is back in a bit of his home land once in a while.
