M.O.M and M.O.D. have been visiting the local Animal Shelters in our area for a DogSister for me. I have over heard them talking about how I seemed a little depressed and a bit lonely because I didn't have any playmates here in our new neighborhood by the sea.
Well, they came home with this strange little thing they called my new DogSister. Of course I didn't want anything to do with her for the first day. But I must admit she is so darn cute and does so
many of the funniest things that I just couldn't stay mad at her for coming to live with us.
So....here is my DogSister now named Maggie Rose.....
She is some type of Terrier and about 9 weeks old.
And amazingly her life story is very similar to my own. She and her 3 brothers and another older dog...but not the mom dog...were found by some walkers out in the woods above town. They were sure she had not been there very long because the owners had dumped dog food in a pile near the area they were found. And the dog food was still dry...and it rains here often this time of year.
So Maggie Rose was very lucky to be discovered so soon.
A new bed was bought for her and I let her use one of my special dog blankets and a few toys to make her feel at home. She immediately began playing with the toys and seemed very glad to be a member of our little family.
One thing I did notice about her is that she doesn't yet have many lady like manners...as you can see by the photo that M.O.M. caught of her during one of many of her little naps.
But she is so darn cute I can forgive her for her puppy indiscretions!!
Welcome Maggie Rose,

Congrats on your new little sister! And you are so lucky she is a dog! Mine is a cat and I have some trouble teaching her to be a dog....I'm just sayin'....Enjoy! I bet you will have a great life together!
ReplyDeleteRemington, I gave up trying to get CatSister to play with me. She would just look at me and then when I turn and walk away she would swat me in the butt!! How rude!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo I am very glad that Maggie is in my life and I think we are going to have a lot of time together. M.O.M. is starting her clicker training so it may be even more fun to be with her.
So stay tuned!!

Maggie and Mitch
Hi Maggie and Mitch...we were sure you would like her name. And it certainly seems to fit her. She plays very hard with Mistaya and then suddenly she is deep in nap mode. Very cute! And they are getting along like they have always been together...already!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Mistaya's MOM Gail
She is just adorable! I bet you will be best friends very soon.
ReplyDeleteKisses,

Oh Emma Rose, we were hoping you would stop by. MOM loves your name so much but she just couldn't bring herself to name our new pup Emma Rose. She said the pup is not any where near as beautiful as you are and she couldnt live up to you name. So she agreed to call her Maggie Rose...Maggie for short.
ReplyDeleteAnd she and I are getting along real well and enjoy each others company.
Hugs and wags, Mistaya
Hi Cindi Lou and the rest of the gang!
ReplyDeleteMaggie Rose and I are already becoming freinds and having a lot of fun together.
And it has been a bit of a challenge to do something about her "Shameless Diva" attitude!!
