  3. Hi Mistaya and Gail,
I think about you everyday Mistaya!!!
How are things going in the bite department?? She is trying hard to talk!! Does she see the mail lady??
I don't have the time but I am going back and see some old posts.

  4. Hi Fern, We have kept a close watch on Mistaya and have not allowed her near anyone yet to see if she is better about not biting. But we did visit one of our local dog societies this morning and viewed a few interesting dogs. We are visiting the second on tomorrow. We will post photos if there is anything of interest.

  5. I totally understand! Just a question -- if she only bit the one time, is it a good idea to keep her from everyone? I don't mean to take her up to strangers but some one that would understand and know about it just to see if it was a one time thing. Who knows, maybe the child gave off bad vibs....dogs can tell if someone isn't the nicest person....who knows? Anyway just thought I would throw that out there....She is such a sweetie!

  6. Remington, I beleive Mistaya did sense something about this little girl. We haven't chanaged our routine with mistaya very much. She still goes everywhere with us and still goes to the park to play. We just keep her away from very small childern for now. If she bites again she could be deemed a Dangerous dog and change all of our lives.
We visited a dog society this morning and are visiting another one in the morning. I trully beleive that she just needs a friend of her own. So we are willing to bring another dog into our family to make our little Mistaya more content.
We will post any progress concerning our search.

    Hugs, Gail

  7. Aw Mistaya, what did you see? It sounds like you are trying to tell M.O.M to look at something in the yard.

I kind of have to agree with Remington. Small children can be very threatening to animals and the biting was probably done out of fear. I hope everything works out.

  8. Hi SquirrelQueen,,, M.O.M. agrees about the threatening vibes given off by small children. We are being very careful when we are around small children. When they ask if they can pet me M.O.M. simply says..."She is a working dog so please don't pet her." They all seem impressed at that and step back from me! Cool!
    Merry Christmas to you!
    Hugs and wags, Mistaya
