We have delayed our departure to the sea by a bit as M.O.D.'s grandson has been involved in a terrible motorcycle accident. The grandson lives next door to us with his parents...M.O.D.'s daughter and husband.
Saturday grandson was riding his motorcycle with a friend and somehow the two collided on the highway. Unfortunately they were traveling at a high rate of speed. They both received massive injuries..but they both had a helmet on. The friends injuries were just to much for him and he passed away later that night. Grandson is still in Intensive Care and will be for sometime. He has many injuries but no head injuries, thank goodness. He has become more stable so we may continue our journey tomorrow. M.O.M. said we will just have to wait and see.
So suddenly life can change forever.
I'm so sorry to hear this!

He will be in our thoughts and prayers. That is just terrible! It is so true -- life can change in just a second. And that change involves many family and friends also.... My heart goes out to the family that lost their loved one. Take care, my friend.
ReplyDeleteHelmets are not mandatory here. It is always so scary just to think about!
ReplyDeleteMy PC has been down due to being upgraded , so just see your post. Sorry to read such sad news. Keeping the family in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteMistaya,
ReplyDeletePlease ask your M.O.M. if there is anything I can do. Be sure and give her some extra licking and loving through this thing. Sending hugs and prayers and good energy to everyone involved, and keep wagging. Sending a virtual doggie treat to you, it's not as tasty and chewy as the real thing, but can provide comfort all the same, and a virtual hug for M.O.M. and M.O.D. I understand very well as my daughter lives with a guy who is a BIG TIME bike rider, which she of course enjoys with him, and they never wear helmets (ARGH!)
In Love
I was just thinking of the day my cousin hit the hole in the field, he lived across the pasture...anyway it was BAD, he was unconscious and had a concussion, lost teeth, no permanent scarring, he's 60 now...praying for your grandson and thinking of you all...
