SATURDAY ADVENTURE-DO YOU WANT TO PLAY?

Today M.O.M. took me for a fun walk down our road. Going this direction she always let me race up the hill to see if I can find any Chipmunks hiding near the trees.
We came upon this large pile of tree branches and I am certain I heard the little Chipmunks calling my name.
So I climbed right up on top of this pile to see if I could see any.
As you can see, M.O.M. made sure she got a picture of "my better side"! Geez M.O.M.
I didn't find any Chipmunks this time...they can sure hide good, but I will continue to check for them every time I walk by this pile of branches. They are sure to be here one of these days.
M.O.M. did tell me that she didn't think the Chipmunks were really calling my name. Instead of hearing them say "Oh boy, Mistaya is here!" she thought she heard them yell "Look out!! Mistaya is here!"
Boy, they are not very friendly to dogs are they? Just to be sure I will listen closer next time.

  1. Those chimpmunks seem an awful lot like the ground squirrels that are out here. Be careful, because they will bite your nose and you'll have to go see the vegetarian!

  2. Yes JackDaddy, if you remember when I encountered that BIG field mouse last summer I was very startled when he turned around and attacked me!! I am afraid that I did yell a bit when that happened...and bled quite a bit too. As much fun as I am having chasing these Chipmunks, I don't know what I would do if I did catch one! So maybe I will just pretend that I am chasing them. I certainly do not want M.O.M. to think I am afraid of them! Please don't tell her okay??? Hugs and wags, Mistaya

  3. Oh Mistaya I love you!!! You are so special!!! A neat dog!!!!
I had a dizzy spell yesterday evening and again this evening. So they are not gone yet!!!
I have arthritis in my hands and right shoulder. I have never been able to quilt by hand, always by machine. Years ago I made a lot of baby quilts and wall hangings. Quilted bags, placemats, potholders and tabe runners. Never a big quilt. My shoulder would not let me. Now I don't sew much anymore b/c of the hurt it causes.
I am thinking of making a shopping bag for a give-away tho. What do you think?? Do you think people would like to have a home-made bag??

  4. Maybe it was Alvin and the chipmunks! They might sing and dance for you!

  5. Fern & Bambi...of course anyone would love a handmade gift. There is nothing as precious as a gift that someone makes with their own hands. Please consider that idea of yours!!
M.O.M. is getting pretty discouraged too, as she has fallen in love with Native American Idaian Beading on a loom. But her eyes are starting to fail her and it makes her very, very sad. But she says she refuses to give up! Hugs and wags, Mistaya

  6. Oh Remington, you should hear how loud they do "sing" when I chase them to the base of a giant tree. When they get up real high they do kind of do a little dance. I am guessing it is a victory dance! But just you wait....one of these days....Okay M.O.M....I won't say it. Darn :( (but you know what i mean) I was whispering there so M.O.M. won't hear me! Hugs and wags, Mistaya

  9. I bet they were just hiding REALLY good, because I know your hearing works really well. Next time don't give up til you find them, okay? But be careful, Jack said something about them biting your nose!!! Ouch!!
And you look great from any angle...

    Much Love,

  11. Mistaya, the pile of wood looks like fun even if you don't find any Chipmunks.

I saw the comments above about your eyesight. I have been taking Beta Carotene for several years and my eyesight has improved.
