M.O.M. CAUGHT ME AGAIN

M.O.M. took this picture of me this afternoon. I hear her tell her people friends that she sees me sitting like this often. I think she wants to write something to all of you...............
Hi, This is Mistaya's M.O.M......
Many afternoons I have watched Mistaya sit like this in our front yard. From this point of view she can see into most of the front yard and still see the side yard and some of the backyard. Today I actually timed her to see just how long she would really sit in this one position at a time. I was very surprised that she sat here for just a bit more than 42 minutes! I do wish she could talk so she could tell us just what goes through her mind all this time. Maybe she is meditating. Maybe she hears things we don't. I know she can see even the tiniest creatures amongst the trees around us when humans see and hear nothing. She is such a mysterious, loving little dog.

  4. M.O.M,
Mistaya evidently has a very long attention span. Which is proof of her intelligence. I bet her sweet little ears and that sensitive nose are working at 200%. Maybe she has an imaginary herd of sheep she is watching. Madi will sleep for that long in one spot but I can assure you she is not thinking about anything except sleep. No hidden agenda for her.

  5. Sometimes Cindi Lou will sit on a table on the patio and it looks like she is staring off into space. I have watched her doing this and noticed that sometimes her ears would move slightly and sometimes it would look like she was sniffing the air. In Cindi's case at least, I think she is just seeing what's happening in her neighborhood. The sounds and smells seem to entertain her for long periods of time. Just a theory.

Or maybe our two little rescues are just enjoying the wonders of having forever families and a yard to call their own.

  6. Dispatch will stare @ his black hole for that long. I worried for his sanity. It's like the 4th post back on the animals blog. He also sits and stares out the truck window for that long but he dozes some too.
I think Mistaya has a really long attention span and is bright. I think Dispatch may be deranged though. He is staring @ the black hole now....

  7. JACKDADDY...I LIKE YOUR IDEA!

TANK...I CATCH HER DOING THIS OFTEN.

MS~K...SHE JUST MAY BE DOING SOME OF THAT TOO!

MADI...I CAN OFTEN SEE THE ONLY THING ON HER BODY THAT IS MOVING..AND THAT IS HER EARS! SHE DOES HAVE LOT'S OF PATIENCE.

JUDY...MISTAYA AND CINDI LOU SOUND SO MUCH ALIKE. SHE DOES SEEM TO KNOW WHERE HER PROPERTY IS AND DOESN'T WANT ANY ANIMAL CREATURES ON IT. SO THAT MAY BE WHY SHE SPENDS SO MUCH TIME OUT THERE. BUT I AGREE WITH YOUR THOUGHT ABOUT THEIR FOREVER HOMES. THEY SEEM TO KNOW THEY HAVE TRULY BEEN RESCUED. WE MAY BRING JOY TO THEIR LIVES BUT DO THEY KNOW HOW MUCH LOVE THEY BRING TO US??? AMAZING CREATURES.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR WONDERFUL COMMENTS..MISTAYA AND I BOTH LOVE READING THEM!

  8. TC, having never gotten a look into the Black Hole, maybe dispatch knows something we don't! Maybe the answer to the universe is in there and only our beloved pets can see it!!! Hmmm...that's something to think about!
