LITTLE WILLOW

PitaPata - Personal picturePitaPata Dog tickers

August 24, 2011

I spent the afternoon out in the back yard and I decided that I would enjoy mowing the lawn. I had to spend some time picking up all the miscellaneous chewed bones that were laying about the yard. I put them in a empty plant pot and set them up out of the way while I mowed.

After I finished the task of mowing the lawn I retrieved the pot that was holding all the bones.  I approached Maggie with the bones, set the pot down in front of her and said.."Maggie, chose the one you want and I will throw out the rest."

Well, as you can guess, this little dog is very smart. Just a few minutes later I returned to where she was lying and noticed that she had made a choice...but..apparently it wasn't an easy decision.....

Yes, she had emptied the entire flower pot and finally settled on her favorite bone.

A few minutes later I captured this picture of her and her unusual way of eating a bone

And we are thrilled to report that she has not yet gotten the bone stuck in her mouth when chewing it in this fashion but she just doesn't want to miss all that good stuff in the middle of a circular cut bone.

  7. Barbara, I have an idea that she does have a collection hidden away somewhere. I will probably find a few the next time I do the weeding!

  8. Just one? I think you need at least 15 to cover different parts of the house :)

  9. Tank, it is always a very difficult decision. The only time it isn't is when M.O.M. sneaks out into the yard at night and steals all of our bones..to never be seen again. But magically a brand new fresh one appears for me and Mistaya. Weird huh?! M.O.M. doesn't think we know whats going on but we do!!!

  10. JackDaddy, we usually do have bunches of bones but they all disappear whenever M.O.M. mows the lawn. We have no idea where they go but then the next day fresh ones appear for us. Weird!

  11. I see Maggie has trouble deciding sometimes just like the rest of us. But then it's good to be picky if you want to find your favorite bone. Both photos are so cute!

  13. Tinker is some where around 7 to 9 months old and she is a sweet girl one minute and an awful girl the next minute, biting me and growling for no reason I know of!! It is only when we are walking together that she attacks me. I don't have a clue why she does it except I know she is playing in her mind! She is playing just like two puppies would play with each other, only I am not a puppy.
