ANOTHER THEME DAY

With all the unexpected snow we have been having here by the sea it made me think about our winters in Montana.
So I am posting some of my photos that I took near our home there during the winters we lived there. Some majestic mountains appear more than once because  each day...or each winter they always look so different.
Sometimes if just depended on the time of the year.
or the amount of  snow changes their entire look.
Some were taken off my front porch.
Some just because we just had a very heavy snow storm.
The picture below was taken in Montana but it is a odd shaped mountain across the great divide in the state of Idaho.
The following picture the hill just across our country road in Montana.

I thought the light cast of clouds on the mountain when we were experiencing some winds made a very pretty picture.
I do miss these views that were so close to our home in Montana but I don't miss the 21 degrees below zero temperatures!!

Enjoy all the beautiful scenes you will see during this winter.  There is beauty in all of Mother Nature and she is just waiting for you to capture many of them with your own camera.

"THEME DAY"

I decided to make today "THEME DAY" because it is to cold to venture outside to find things to post on Mistaya's blog.

Can you tell what our theme is??
Is it about sharing your wonderful sticks?
Is it about getting that wonderful massage at last?
Is it about always wanting to be first?
Is it about being the tallest?
Maybe it is about who can take the best nap.
Is it about who can see the UPS man first because he always brings biscuits?

It isn't about who is the toughest!

It's about BEING FRIENDS!!!!

And because it is Thanksgiving week we thought it was the appropriate time to give thanks for all of our wonderful Blogger Friends that have been with us since we started this fun website with Mistaya.

We have enjoyed all your comments and even just your visits to our site.
And we look forward to the coming year and sharing all our new adventures here in our new home by the sea.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OUR BLOGGER FRIENDS!!!

BETWEEN SNOW STORMS

M.O.M. took this picture during one of the rare moments that it actually stopped snowing for a few minutes this afternoon.
It looks just like some of the photos that she took of me while we lived in Montana.  We are having a real hard time believing that we really live 6 feet above sea level here by the sea!
M.O.M. had told me that when we moved to the house by the sea that I may not see my favorite thing...snow...again.  So I was soooo glad to get to go for a walk with her this afternoon,  She let me go with her around the neighborhood without my collar and leash. I had so much fun running up and down the sidewalks in the snow...just like the old days in Montana.

I THOUGHT WE WERE LIVING AT SEA LEVEL NOW

Yes, the last time I looked, we still lived at 6 feet and 5 inches above sea level.
But there is something about the 2 following pictures that says "High Elevation With Winter Snow"!

11 AM TODAY
3:00 THIS AFTERNOON.
Hmmm...I wonder what the beach is like today?
M.O.M. yelled  Mistaya.....Get the Stick!
Bring it here Mistaya!!
 Come on..hurry up!!

Oh wait!!! Yikes

Don't worry...no dog was harmed in the making of this post.
And no....this isn't little Mistaya...
let's just say it's a stand in!

MORE RAIN AND WIND

We did venture out today to go to the store.  M.O.M. & M.O.D. both took umbrella's but the wind was so strong they decided it was wiser to leave their bumper shoots in the car with me.  I heard M.O.D. say something about not wanting to be Mary Poppins or something like that.  Weird.  Can he really be a Mary Poppins???

It has been raining most of the day so I have chosen to spend of my time in the warm house curled up behind M.O.D.'s chair catching a few winks of sleep.

No, M.O.M. didn't take this photo on our way to town.  Although I heard her tell M.O.D. that she wishes she were the one to take this picture.  But she received it in an email this week.  I wonder where this amazing road leads.

NEWS OF THE DAY

We have been having rain almost everyday with a bit of sunshine thrown in during the afternoons.  Just enough sun to give us hope that the winter rain won't last forever.

I AM AT THE BEACH AGAIN!

Oh boy! I am running on the beach at the Ocean again at last.
There was a bit of fog but not another living soul in sight! Well, at least I couldn't see anyone in the fog.

So I ran and ran everywhere as fast as my little legs would take me.

Then we went to our favorite beach to do some beach combing....and boy did M.O.M. & M.O.D. find a lot of treasures!!
Below M.O.M. has posted a picture of some of her treasure that she found by the sea today.

I think I can tell that we will be returning to this beach again real soon.

What a wonderful day for this little dog.

I did a lot of running today so I am very tired and I feel another nap coming on.

See you all later.

REMINDER TIME

It is that time of year when the air turns cold and many cold rainy days linger. Please remember all the beautiful dogs, little puppies, cats and precious kittens that are all so desperately in need of warm caring homes at this time of year.

Please find our next loving pet at your nearest  local pet shelter.

God bless them all.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO SERVED OR IS SERVING OUR COUNTRY

I AM VERY THANKFUL AND VERY PROUD OF ALL OF YOU!
I took this photo while looking out our front window out into our front yard.  I always feel so proud to fly our beautiful American flag.
Especially on our day to honor all of our servicemen.

IT'S STILL RAINING!

I heard M.O.M. say that it is raining so hard that it is raining "Cats and Dogs"!

So I ran to the window to look out side to see this for myself.

But I couldn't see any Cats or Dogs falling from the sky...just a lot of rain.

I don't quite understand the way humans talk sometimes so I will have to give this some thought....maybe a nice long nap will help!

Have you ever seen that type of rain...where there are cats and dogs falling from the sky?
Did you get pictures???

WE ARE STILL HERE

We are sorry we have been so quiet on our blog.  M.O.M. has been busy trying to get the craftroom organized now that all the painting has been done.

She painted 2 coats of primer on the ceiling followed by 2 coats of paint.

Then she painted 2 coats of primer on the walls then 2 coats of paint followed that.

Then she painted 2 coats of floor paint on the entire floor.

Yes, she says she is just worn out and can't seem to get herself excited about doing the organizing thing.

Of course she takes time out each day to take me out for my fun walk/run too.  I know she is like me and enjoys the sunshine and fresh sea air too.

So please don't worry about us.  We will try to blog as often as I can wake up M.O.M. from her naps :).
Hugs and wags, Mistaya

WE ARE SAD THAT HALLOWEEN IS GONE

M.O.M. was a bit nervous about the fact that she didn't see any little kids out on our street doing the Trick or Treat thing about 6:00 last night.  She was excited about doing the Halloween thing for the first time living in a city.  She didn't know if anyone would show up.

Well, she shouldn't have worried....about 6:15 the doorbell started ringing and didn't stop till about 8:30.

It had been raining most of the day and suddenly the rain stopped and didn't rain again until about 10 O'clock that evening.

There were so many cute costumed little kids that we all had so much fun.  There was a parent with each group of Trick or Treaters that came to my door.  M.O.M. said some of the little kids seemed a bit afraid of me when I came running to the door to greet them.  So she had me jump up on the window bench and watch them from our front window.  Many of them did see me in my Bunny costume and waved and smiled at me.  That was fun!

So our first Halloween in our new home by the sea was wonderful and we are already making plans for a bigger and better Halloween next year.  I heard M.O.D. talking about some kind of skeleton things and spooky things out front yard on Halloween next year.  This sounds like it could be a lot of fun again!!!

The little yellow rose is growing in M.O.M.'s garden and there are still lot's of pretty blooms on it.  She loves taking pictures of all her pretty flowers and loves the idea that all the blooms last so much longer here.

We hope all of you had a wonderful Halloween and got lot's of treats in your trick or treat bags!!
