TRICK OR TREAT---I DON'T THINK SO!!

I told M.O.M. I wanted to dress up like a bunny...you know....a cute little fuzzy bunny...kind of like Peter Cotton Tail.....You know the one!

WELL, THIS ISN'T IT!!!!!

This doesn't look anything like Peter Cotton Tail, who went Hopping down the Bunny Trail!

Sheez!!

The ears are cute but I do not think a cute Little fuzzy Bunny Rabbit would ever be wearing a silly White Fuzzy BOW TIE!!!

But that is not the worst of it....

LOOK AT MY CUTE LITTLE BEHIND!!!!!!

I can't believe they made me wear this stupid little round white fuzzy tail!  OH MY GOSH!!!

Do you know what embarrassment means??

Even that silly Pumpkin is laughing at me.

But I have found a way to let M.O.M. AND M.O.D.  know just how I feel about this whole HALLOWEEN NIGHTMARE!!!

M.O.M. says I have been stirring up enough trouble lately so TRICK OR TREATING should be easy for me!

M.O.D. has been stirring the pot and making some kind of mystery dish...I don't know if I want any of his HALLOWEEN TREATS!

And M.O.M. has been flying around the house trying to get all the HALLOWEEN TREATS together.

Okay, yes, she has been flying off the handle lately too!!  :)

But we know there are several strange people in the neighborhood that may be trouble too so on this HALLOW EVE we will keep our doors tightly locked and the curtains closed too!

WE HOPE YOUR HALLOWEEN IS FUN AND FULL OF WONDERFUL TREATS!!

I HAVE A QUESTION TO ASK ALL OF YOU

Yes, I have a question I wanted to ask all of my blog friends...doggies and kitties too...

Do you have your own pillow?

I have my own.

But the important question is....

DO YOU USE YOUR PILLOW???

I use my pillow every night.  M.O.M. and M.O.D. let me sleep on the bed if I want, but most of the night I like to lie on the floor and use my very own pillow.  We take it traveling with us too so I can use it in the motel rooms we may stay in.

And of course I really enjoy it when we are traveling in the car.  It is always so comfortable no matter where I am.

PRETTY FALL COLORS

We took a drive around the area this weekend and saw some very pretty fall colors.  I want to share them with you.

CAUGHT AGAIN!

I walked into the kitchen just in time this morning to see this scene taking place between M.O.D. and Mistaya!

Of course the first thing I said was.."WHAT'S GOING ON IN HERE???!"

Neither one of them said anything as Mistaya quietly and quickly reached into the container and took a biscuit of her choice and walked away.

The biscuit container was quickly put away before the little devil dog could beg M.O.D. for another biscuit.

Now I understand why our sweet little dog appears to be getting a little "Broad in the Beam!!

THE GARDEN WORK IS PROGRESSING

We have been working often in the garden area of our back yard.  It has been neglected for about 5 years so the Blackberry bush that was there had decided that it would take over the entire garden area..... all by it's self.

And I must say it was being quite successful at it...until we arrived on the scene! 

The above photo was taken in November of last year.  So as you can imagine, the bush has grown quite a bit since I took this picture.

We spent many afternoons out in the garden cutting away parts of this giant bush.  We have more than enough scares to prove our work.  But the area is starting to look like a garden area again and I am excited to get the area plotted out for our spring garden.

Below is a photo of a few stalks that we chopped from the wild run away plant.

Yes, that's a dime to help show the actual size of the plant we have been fighting.  But we have finally won the battle!!!

The ugly, prickly plant is GONE!!!

Of course, Mistaya is very excited about all the new smells that are in the areas of the garden that she couldn't get to while the giant Blackberry bush was ruling the entire garden area.

There is nothing like Puppy Happiness!

SITES NEAR THE OCEAN

When we were at the beach, M.O.M. and M.O.D. let me go with me when they climbed to the top of this very tall tower!

We could see forever everywhere!!!

In front of us a view of the jetty and the beautiful ocean.  The waves were big and lot's of fun to watch crash into the rocks on the jetty.

And to the other side was a beautiful bay that we visit often.  It was closed today so they could bring in giant truck loads of sand to rebuild areas that the storms have washed away the sand.

And this direction shows the harbor where all the commercial fishing boats spend the winter after the fishing season has ended.

We enjoyed our visit as the weather was so warm and pretty.  But we had to return home so M.O.M. & M.O.D. could get some more work done in the back yard.  I will post tomorrow with pictures about our adventures in the back yard!

I totally forgot about the Mail Lady when we ventured out to the sea!  Oh my gosh!  What about my treats she always gives me???

What happens when I am not there to receive her treats?

Will she think I don't care anymore?

Will she give them to someone else on down the street??

I know we can't make it back home before she gets there!

Oh my goodness....what's that???

Could it be....

Oh I hope it is....

Do I dare hope???

Oh happy day..it is!!!!!

My dear sweet Mail Lady knew I would be looking for my treats and she made sure I would get them!  She even put them where no one else could get to them to eat them before I got back to my front yard!

And as you can guess these treats tasted better than any I have ever had before!! What a wonderful surprise for me today.

I WENT TO THE BEACH AGAIN!

The day became so beautiful after the fog burned off this morning so we all went to the beach to enjoy the day.

As we were walking towards the jetty we noticed the largest flock of Pelicans and Cormorants we had ever seen. I have only seen Pelicans individually so this was a real surprise for me. If you click on the photo you will get a much better look at all of them

As we were enjoying this great view we noticed a dog running along the water toward the large flock of birds....

I thought..."Who would let their silly dog run like that???"

OH NO!!

Act like we don't know her.  Quick, keep walking!  Sheez!

P.S....Fortunately these birds weren't too upset about the presence of a dog. They just flew a few feet above the sand then settled right back down after the dog departed. I am sure they have experienced dogs many times in their beach lives.

WE ARE ON OUR WAY TO THE PARK!!

Oops, this doesn't look good!

Apparently they are adding some lighting standards to the baseball fields as the park close to us and have closed the park!

But M.O.M.  said it was okay because there was a place to park outside the gate and the walking trail that is just to the left of this sign was still open.

So I was able to chase my ball lot's of times and I ran everywhere on this walking trail...cause there was no one else there at the time! I love that part!!!

SITES ON MY AFTER DINNER WALK

This is what M.O.M. and I saw as we walked back down our street when we returned to your house after a walk last night.  We have been away spending some time in Montana tying up loose ends.  Well, that was what M.O.M. called it. 
I really like being with M.O.M. and M.O.D. but I am getting a little tired of being in the car for such a long time.  I did hear M.O.M. say that she wants to stay home for a long time and not drive anywhere...Me Too!!!!
I love my yard and I need to be here every day so the mail lady won't be disappointed to not find me there to give me my special treats.
Well, everybody has an important job to do...eating her treats she gives me everyday is my very special job!!

I AM HELPING WITH THE YARD WORK

Today we all went out into the backyard to work on a project there.  The previous owners of our house had dumped tons of grass clippings and dirt into large piles in the garden area.  It appears that it has been there for several years.

As you can see I was busy trying to get down to the source of the problem.

I did come up with a report and told M.O.M. and M.O.D. "Don't worry...the end is in sight!"

I heard M.O.M. laugh and say..."It certainly was Mistaya!"  And M.O.D. smiled and said "Don't worry little dog...You have a very cute little behind!"

It took me a moment to remember that M.O.M. had snapped the first picture when my head was buried deep into that pile of grass!

And as you can see from these pictures, I do have a nose for investigating!!!

I'VE BEEN CAUGHT!

I slipped up again! I can't believe it! I have always been so careful.

Everyday I station myself by the front gate near the mail box, when I see the mail lady park her truck down at the end of our street.  She then walks down the opposite side of our street from our house and I wait patiently for her to return on our side of the street.

As she nears our house I sit as close to the fence as I possibly can...waiting...sometimes it seems forever....waiting...waiting....and then it happens!!!!...she kneels down beside me on her side of the fence and gives me a treat! It is soooo good and I am always so careful to be sure to take it very gently from her fingers.

And then...if I look real sweet at her she gives me.....Oh MY GOSH...a second treat!...I can't believe it....I can get 2 treats from this wonderful mail lady!  And she talks to me so softly that I do always seem to forget that I am really in charge of this front yard and I am suppose to protect M.O.M. and M.O.D. from any one getting to close to the house.

But I have been very careful to make sure that my people are busy doing other things somewhere else inside the house or back yard.....until today....

Yes, the worst has happened to this little dog....

As the mail lady walked away I was sitting in my usual spot watching go about her route, when something caught my attention out of the corner of my eye.....

Oh NO....there was M.O.M. standing at the front window watching the whole treat thing happen!!!

BUSTED!!!
Of course my natural instincts took over and I immediately ran to the corner of the fence and did a few of my very angry sounding barks at the mail lady...M.O.M. told  M.O.D. they sounded strangely high pitched for my voice.....
I was of course trying to pretend I was guarding the house and chasing this mean person away in an attempt to protect them.

As you can guess, I did see M.OM. smile and laugh as she turned away from the front window.  That is why I am positive that she knows exactly what I have been up to everytime she see's the mail lady coming down the street.

Oh brother...I am so busted!!
